A composite program inspired by the spectacular festivities at the Habsburg court in Prague and Vienna, prepared for Emperor Rudolf II by the court painter and portraitist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The dance scenes feature allegorical figures of the seasons and the elements, the beautiful Flora accompanied by the three Graces and Rudolf himself as Vertumnus.
